Text Box: I enjoy sculpting clay. One day I created a 3” figurine that I jokingly called “Wise Man Pete”. Then for fun I called the next one “Emperor Bob” and well this line was born. People have said to me that they do not take interest in other cultures around the world because they cannot understand names in other languages, therefore they feel no connection to them. I decided to bring other cultures into American mainstream by giving them Americanized names with which people may better remember and feel a connection to and take interest in.
Each figure is hand sculpted, fired, then hand painted by me. I do not use molds only simple household items for tools and some clay tools. There will be more to come in this line, but for now I have some representing the Asian culture throughout different time periods and classes.
